Mall of the Emirates to feature new taxi rank

DUBAI, April 22, 2015

Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, a leading shopping mall, and leisure pioneer across Mena, will offer new taxi rank and parking spaces in phase two of its redevelopment.

As part of the ‘great moments’ delivered to guests by Mall of the Emirates, a new taxi rank allowing forty additional taxis is located at Welcome Court 4, representing a total of eighty taxis places. The new taxi rank will be complementing current taxi rank located near Carrefour and Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel, which also has recently been significantly upgraded for easier navigation of visitors.

The new taxi rank which represents a total investment of Dh10 million ($2.72 million) operates throughout Mall of the Emirates’ opening hours.

“As part of our goal to create great moments for everyone, everyday at Mall of the Emirates, we want our guests to have choice, convenience and safety in their transport options, which is why phase two of the mall’s Evolution 2015 initiative includes a focus on the availability of taxis and parking spaces,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, senior director – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

“The important investment is in line with Majid Al Futtaim’s vision to continuously improve visitors experience, since the reconfiguration follows research and feedback received from our shoppers on the taxi ranks. We appreciate the support of our visitors and make sure to listen carefully to their needs to enhance experiences,” he added.

Additionally, works on the ground floor parking area is now complete with upper levels fully available to shoppers. By July 2015, the new deck will become operational, offering 1,300 new car park spaces including more disabled options, Sharaf noted. – TradeArabia News Service
