Aswaaq launches new community mall in Dubai

DUBAI, April 15, 2015

Aswaaq, a chain of small shopping centres in Dubai, has launched its brand-new retail chain at the Al Badaa Community.

The new branch is set to be an amalgamation of an authentic, traditional and an open-street market, said a statement.

The community mall spans across 29,679 sq ft with a mix including Aswaaq supermarket, restaurants, coffee shops, veterinary clinic, barbershop, chocolate shop and telecom store.

Yousuf Sharaf, chief executive officer, said: “According to our expansion plans, the Al Badaa community mall is our ninth location in Dubai. The new branch is going to be a hub for families. Our goal is to cater to diverse cultures and communities.

“Aswaaq has tapped into the needs of its customers and provided them with a chain of supermarkets that bring them various product categories such as utilities, food and beverage, fixtures, telecom services and lifestyle. We’re elated to extend our branch to Al Badaa and hope that we see a never-ending bunch of happy families, individuals and residents in our branch.”

The families, residents and individuals, who came to the opening of the mall, were greeted by the staff and were gifted a goody bag, full of products and gifts for customers in the neighborhoods.

The opening event also included food samples from different suppliers and gave the visitors a taste of their new retail chain.

Kids participated in various workshops, face painting, balloon twisting and the bouncing castle. The event also featured clowns, iconic cartoon characters and popcorn and candy.

The visitors were introduced to ‘Wafa’, Aswaaq’s loyalty programme and were offered discounts at different sections in the supermarket. - TradeArabia News Service
