Bahrain-based VKL group is set to develop a mall on a plot belonging to Al Qadsiya Club in Salmaniya area of the kingdom at an investment of BD8 million ($21 million).

The mall will cater to the residents of Salmaniya and the surrounding areas and also provide employment to several people, said Dr Varghese Kurian, the chairman of VKL Holdings and Al Namal Group of Companies.

Kurian was later honoured by the Al Najma Sport Club (NSC) president Isa bin Abdulla Al Qattan with a special memento.

Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa was also present at the occasion.-TradeArabia News Service
