HTC targets mid-market with new smartphone

HTC, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, has unveiled its new smartphone which comes with single and dual SIM cards as part of its ambitious 2014 mid-range portfolio.

The HTC Desire 816 features elements of HTC’s flagship HTC One family, with a modern colour palate.

The first edition of the new-look HTC Desire family comes fully loaded with HTC’s iconic dual-frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers and HTC BoomSound for incredible audio quality, while HTC BlinkFeed keeps users up-to-date with the latest news and social updates on the spacious 5.5-inch screen.

A 13MP rear-facing camera complete with HTC Zoe and automatic highlight videos, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera, make it the perfect device for capturing both selfies and landscapes.

The new HTC Desire is powered by a quad-core, 1.6 GHz processor and offering 4G LTE connectivity and is fully-equipped to keep pace with the most active lifestyles, whether browsing, gaming or switching between multiple apps, a statement said.

The new HTC Desire 816 – which runs HTC’s Sense 6 interface –is already available across all retailers in the UAE for Dh1499 and Dh1349 AED for the dual SIM version. The new smartphone is available in various colours including navy blue, grey and white for the single SIM. The dual SIM is available in white and grey. – TradeArabia News Service
