Chinese brand Hisense enters Bahrain

Manama, June 25, 2014

Chinese brand Hisense's range of flat panel TVs, household appliances, and mobile communications products has officially been launched in Bahrain.

The launch at Bahrain International Circuit's Paddock Club follows the signing of an exclusive distributership agreement between Bahraini firm Goods Trading Company and Hisense Electronics, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

"We have always looked at various areas to expand our presence globally and we are happy to be here in Bahrain," said Hisense Middle East managing director Terry Wang.

"I feel that the latest line-up of Hisense products are best suited for the Bahrain market and will be received well," he added.

Goods Trading Company director Saleem Abdul Jabbar said Hisense is one of the major electronic giants in other countries of the GCC.

"With the product line-up that Hisense possesses, I am sure that in the coming years the company is going to be one of the top brands available in the Bahrain market," he added.

"Goods Trading Company has already introduced Hisense products in all the hypermarkets, power retailers, electronic stores and dealer outlets in an aggressive manner."

According to the latest Display Search Data for the first quarter, Hisense ranks second in the world for 4K Ultra High Definition TVs and in the top four for TVs overall.

Hisense also manufactures hitech refrigeration solutions.

The company has increased its share of the Middle East smartphone market to eight per cent and provides warranty on its high-end mobile phones not only in the GCC but also in India.-TradeArabia News Service
