Bahrain perfume group eyes European market
Manama, June 10, 2014
Bahrain-based Junaid Perfumes has entered into a partnership agreement with Russian company ARS Business Trading.
The partnership would lead to Junaid's entry into the Russian market, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
The announcement follows a visit by a delegation from ARS Business Trading headed by Ali Khan to Junaid Perfumes' head office in Bahrain.
The delegation met Junaid Perfumes sales director Hamad Fuad and head of business development Mansoor Shah.
"This agreement is a step forward in our perfumes business expansion in the European markets," said Fuad.
"Junaid Perfumes will make an important move by expanding in the Russian market with the objective to grow and build further worldwide," he added.
The brand aspired to not only expand globally but also to be an ambassador for Bahrain in the top markets worldwide, remarked Fuad.
"With this agreement we look forward to selling our products through our own outlets instead of a second party," he added.
Khan said Russia was a big market for oriental scents and fragrances.
Moreover, he complemented the successful strategy that Junaid Perfumes is following through opening more than 120 branches across the world.
The Russian market is believed to be one of the fastest growing markets for cosmetics and perfume products and the fifth largest in the world with $14.5 billion market share.
Established in 1910, Junaid Perfumes is one of the oldest perfumers in the GCC. Today the company operates more than 140 exclusive retail outlets across the world.-TradeArabia News Service
