Big jewellery show opens in Abu Dhabi

Over 190 renowned exhibitors and brands from across the globe areshowcasing their gemstone, gold and silver jewellery at the 22nd International Jewellery and Watch Show (JWS) which opened in Abu Dhabi today (March 13).
The event will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until March 17.
Raya Dandal, JWS show manager at Reed Exhibitions, said: “The continued success of Jewellery and Watch Show has been encouraging and we are very excited about this year’s show. New designs and collections; more brands and exhibitors; exciting raffle prizes and an informative line-up of jewellery seminars – is a very promising mix that is bound to offer every visitor something that will have them gleaming and sparkling, literally.”

The winners of the EBDA’A Award, which was launched last year to encourage nationals with artistic interests to bring forth their creativity in jewellery designing, will be announced at the show on March 14.
Added attraction to the show includes a raffle draw and a chance for every visitor to win a brand new Fiat 500 car, sponsored by Western Motors LLC, authorized distributor of Jeep & Fiat in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Visitors will also stand a chance to win other exciting prizes, including diamond jewellery set from Mohammed Rasool Khoory & Sons, Rotana hotel stay, branded watches and more.
JWS will also include complimentary interactive seminar sessions for visitors conducted by experienced representatives from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to cover a range of topics that aim to benefit both consumers and traders.
