Omani products promotion in Lulu

Muscat, February 6, 2014

A campaign to promote and generate awareness of the locally-manufactured products in Oman kicked off at Baushar’s Lulu Hypermarket recently.

The Omani Products Exhibition is a part of a series of exhibitions of the Omani Products Campaign entitled 'Omani 2014' and will run till February 18.

Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, chief executive officer of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), said: "We have observed through this exhibition the entry of new products to the large commercial centres that attract big turnouts of citizens and residents in the country.

“Besides, according to the exhibitors there is an increase in the growth rates of these products within the commercial centres, of which some exceed 15 per cent compared to the previous years."

Basim bin Ali Al Nassri, director general of Marketing and Media at PEIE, said: "The expo endeavours to promote locally-manufactured products, underscore the competent capabilities of the products to compete locally and internationally, encourage consumers both individuals and organisations to purchase local products and services, and to emphasise the importance of buying Omani products and its direct contribution to the national economy."

PEIE’s Omani Products Exhibitions will continue throughout the year inside and outside the Sultanate with the aim of informing consumers about the quality and competence of local products and services. - TradeArabia News Service
