Asus to launch new Transformer Books in Saudi

Computer hardware and electronics manufacturer Asus is set to launch new Transformer Books for the Saudi Arabia market on December 31.

The Transformer Book T100 and Transformer Book Trio are the latest models in a wide range of mobile and desktop computers from the company, said a statement.

Both the models have a two-part dockable design, which is a combination between a high-productivity feature of a laptop and portability of a tablet. It can both be switched between laptop and tablet features.

The Transformer Book T100 is a combination of a notebook and a tablet, featuring a sleek design and durable finish. It is apt for multi-tasking performance and has energy efficiency that can last up to 11 hours on battery power.

Jonney Shih, chairman, said: “The Transformer Book T100 is a perfect transformation of a PC as it has features like full compatibility, detachable touch screen, immersive entertainment and long-lasting battery.”

The Transformer Book Trio, a new breed of ultraportable device, features a keyboard dock that has its own processor and can be used as a self-contained desktop PC when its display is detached for use as a tablet.

It is powered by a fourth generation Intel Core processor in Windows 8 laptop mode and can be used as an Android tablet with its own Intel Atom processor. - TradeArabia News Service
