HID launches enhanced DTC printer line
Dubai, November 20, 2013
HID Global, a leader in secure identity solutions, has launched its Fargo Direct-to-Card (DTC) printer line.
The line is aimed at expanding the secure issuance capabilities for small, medium and large private and government organisations producing ID, access control, payment and loyalty cards, said a statement.
The company’s now enhanced Fargo DTC printers feature an embedded multi-technology iClass SE Encoder to simplify card technology migration and personalise large ID card batches, it said.
The portfolio also includes expanded in-line personalisation features that offer faster speeds and increased flexibility with the optional wireless accessory module that allows users to issue cards from anywhere.
Craig Sandness, vice president of product marketing, Secure Issuance with HID Global, said: “Our printers are now 50 per cent faster, saving issuance time for our customers while reinforcing our dedication to continually increasing the value of their genuine HID investments.”
Key features include ‘In-line Physical Access Control Data Programming/Encoding,’ which enables all credential creation, encoding, personalisation and management for large ID card batches to be performed inside the printer, in a single issuance step that significantly reduces administrative burden and hardware costs.
The line includes four printers, each featuring AES-256 encryption support. They are Fargo DTC1000Me monochrome printer, Fargo DTC1250e colour printer, and Fargo DTC4250e and DTC4500e professional-grade colour printers, with higher security with optional locking card hoppers and printer password protection. - TradeArabia News Service
