Batelco, the leading telecom operator in Bahrain, announced that grandstand tickets for the 2012 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix are now available at special counters in three of its retail shops.

The special Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) counters are located at Batelco’s retail shops in Arad, Hamad Town and The Centre in Nuwaidrat.

Batelco Bahrain chief executive Rashid Abdulla said that the three locations were selected to add convenience for the public who don’t live near the main shopping malls in and around Manama.

“We are very pleased to offer this support to BIC and to promote the upcoming Formula One event,” added Abdulla.

BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said: “The three BIC counters located in Batelco’s retail shops will be a great addition to our current retail counters which are located at BIC, Seef Mall and Bahrain City Centre.”

“With less than two weeks to the big event, tickets have been selling fast as residents and visitors are really looking forward to the return of the Grand Prix and all its entertaining side events to Bahrain,” added Shaikh Salman. – TradeArabia News Service
