Top German firm to host watchmaking show

Dubai, September 25, 2011

German watchmaker A Lange & Söhne will showcase its engineering excellence and mechanical ingenuity in an upcoming watchmaking exhibition in Dubai.

The brand’s second Middle East watchmaking exhibition, titled ‘Unmatched Craftsmanship’, will take place at the Dubai Mall Atrium from October 5 to 11, in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.

The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the precise elements of craftsmanship involved in the creation of each and every A. Lange & Söhne timepiece.

Following on from their success of 2010, A. Lange & Söhne is creating an interactive platform whereby visitors can gain captivating insights into the realm of precision watchmaking.

Three different crafts will be performed by a master engraver, watchmaker and finishing specialist from the German manufactory, to highlight the techniques that drive the brand to the pinnacle of modern performance watchmaking.

Visitors will be offered an educational and inspirational experience outlining A. Lange & Söhne’s deep-rooted Saxon history and distinguishing values of excellence.

“The success of our exhibition in 2010 truly reflected the overall fascination into the watchmaking world, and eagerness to gain knowledge about this exclusive craft,” said Matthieu Dupont, Middle East brand manager of A. Lange & Söhne.

“We are excited to present this year’s Unmatched Craftsmanship exhibition as we look forward in sharing how passionately our master watchmakers immerse themselves in their work, and how A. Lange & Söhne succeeds in developing remarkable and unique timepieces,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
