Pure Gold Jewellers, a leading jewellery retailer, has launched three special edition diamond pendants engraved with the words ‘Allah’ in Arabic to mark Ramadan.

The Ramadan 2011 pendant collection will be available from all Pure Gold Jewellers outlets from today (Aug 1), a statement said.

The pendants come in different shapes- one is crescent shaped signifying the moon and the beginning of Ramadan; another is a heart shaped pendant reminding one of loved ones and the third is of an abstract shape.

The crescent and heart shaped pendants are encrusted with diamonds while the other pendant is embodied with diamonds and semi-precious coloured stones. All the pendants are set in 18kt gold and are available in yellow or white gold.

The crescent shaped pendant is priced at Dh399 ($108.6), the heart shaped pendant is available for Dh999 and the coloured stones pendant is priced at Dh1499.

The company has also launched a unique charity initiative in tie up with Red Crescent Society for the month of Ramadan using the social media, Facebook.

Every time Pure Gold Jewellers’ Facebook page receives a ‘Like’ from a new fan, Dh10 will be donated by Pure Gold Jewellers to Red Crescent Society for charity. This campaign will run from August 1 to September 5.
