Canon Middle East has launched a new model of its Ixus range of digital cameras that features Canon’s high-performance system (HS) for taking snapshots in dimly-lit conditions.

The new IXUS 115 HS, available in four colours, features a super-slim metal body and signature IXUS styling.

Even in low light environments where shots can be unclear, grainy and lacking in detail, the HS system produces clear, natural-looking images without having to use the flash, a statement said.

The Smart Auto mode automatically detects up to 32 different scenes, High-speed Burst Mode ensures good results when photographing tricky, fast-moving action, according to the statement.

The new Ixus also features the Handheld Night Scene, which shoots a number of pictures of the same scene in succession and combines them to create one blur-free image.

The user can also instantly record Full HD 1080p movies by pressing the dedicated movie record button as the action unfolds, while the Super Slow Motion Movie can capture life up to eight times slower than real-time.

The new Movie Digest mode records up to four seconds before every still image taken before joining the clips together to create a bonus movie to complement your photos.

The Toy Camera effect recreates the look and feel of images produced by an older-style camera to create bright, retro looking images with Poster Effect. One can even shoot underwater down to depths of 3 metres with a lightweight, compact waterproof case, or go down further with a 40-metre diving case, said the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
