UPB seals Jordan AC supply deal
Amman, June 4, 2011
Jordan-based United Pioneering Business (UPB) has signed a deal with Turath tourism projects and Real Estate Company, owners of the resort project and Lake Hotel at the Dead Sea, to supply Samsung VRF central air-conditioners to the project.
The lake hotel resort and tourist hotel in the Dead Sea area is one of the most important projects in the region with an area of up to 218,000 sq m. It consists of a thousand suites, and a lake water area of 40,000 sq m.
Riziq Bani Hani, chairman and CEO of Turath Tourism, said the project is being implemented under the supervision of leading companies contracting with qualified contractors from inside Jordan and abroad "to ensure the proper implementation of the high artistic specifications and doing so in the limited time allowed."
He said the project provides opportunities for investment within a modern and luxurious touristic project that corresponds with Arab, family, and Islamic values.
"The anticipated completion of construction work of the first stage will be delivered to the owners of the resort suites at the beginning of 2012," he noted.
Last year, Samsung launched the VRF fourth-generation systems, which is characterized by the highest cooling capacity in the world up to 80HP and an efficiency up to 4.57, providing a huge reduction of electricity consumption compared to other air conditioning systems, said a UPB statement.
UPB had recently collaborated with Samsung to set up a specialised center for servicing and maintenance of air conditioning.-TradeArabia News Service
