Axiom Telecom, a leading distributor mobile telecom devices and services, will carry the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet from Research In Motion (RIM) from June 12 in the UAE.

The BlackBerry PlayBook tablet with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity will be available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB models.

Customers may experience the BlackBerry PlayBook in select Axiom Telecom stores, including Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi Mall, a statement said.

“We have a strong partnership with RIM in the region and today we are bringing yet another exciting BlackBerry product to our UAE consumers,” said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO of Axiom Telecom.

“The tablet segment is of strategic importance to Axiom, it is a very strong product segment for us in the UAE.”

“We are also very excited to bring the ‘touch, feel, learn and play’ concept to our BlackBerry customers for the first time. This approach of enabling customers to experience a product before the actual launch has received positive feedback from the market,” he added.
