Canon launches 17-inch large format printer
Dubai, April 21, 2011
Canon Middle East has launched its new 17-inch large format printer including support for HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL, which will appeal to the computer aided design and geographic information system markets.
Additionally, the imagePrograf iPF510, which is a replacement for imagePrograf LP17, is now compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 (32 Bit and 64 Bit) and Apple Macintosh OSX operating systems.
It benefits from reduced noise and a small footprint, which offers flexible installation in various office layouts, a statement said.
The imagePrograf iPF510 enables the quick in-house production of large format prints, such as point-of-sale displays, posters and company notices, as well as office documents, maps and CAD applications, it added.
Featuring a reactive ink system, the printer uses four highly colourfast dye inks – cyan, magenta, yellow and black - plus two channels of pigment-based Matte Black – to deliver full-bleed posters, clear text documents and crisp technical drawings.
PosterArtist Lite software, which enables creation of a huge variety of posters in just a few simple steps, comes bundled with the imagePrograf iPF510, according to the statement.
The new version of the full PosterArtist package – PosterArtist V2.20 – is available separately. This supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit), features new artwork and can be used with other Canon printers. – TradeArabia News Service
