Dubai supermarket cuts prices 50pc

Dubai, April 2, 2011

Emirates Cooperative Society, a leading supermarket chain in Dubai, has lowered prices on essential food and non food items by up to 50 per cent in its latest promotion campaign.

“Keeping the current economic situation we have lowered our prices for a short period from March 31 to April 9 in all our seven branches across Dubai and Hatta,” said Farid Al Shamandy, general manager.

“This time around we have emphasized more on fresh fruits, vegetables and meat items, plus there is a great bargain in other essential food, non-food groceries and household items.”

“Our price reductions go up to 50 per cent lower than our regular price. This is a key strategic vision of our board of directors, it’s our way of contributing back to the society by providing a short relief to the rising food prices,” he added.

Al Shamandy also said that customers can avail of the free home delivery service on offer. – TradeArabia News Service
