Exclusive Swiss watch launched in Bahrain

Manama, November 7, 2010

Swiss watchmaker Milus has announced the launch of its Tirion Repetition Minutes TriRetrograde in Bahrain.

Only 50 pieces of the collector's item watch, worth around BD90,000 each ($238,726), are available worldwide, said company president and chief executive officer Jan Edšcs.

'We have brought this masterpiece to Bahrain to co-incide with the holding of Jewellery Arabia,' he told our sister newspaper Gulf Daily News (GDN).

'Each watch, which is completely hand-crafted, takes 45 days to produce and is preferred by the most exclusive of clients.'

Edšcs also announced the opening of a regional office in Dubai and an expansion of its Bahrain operations.

'We have a very professional partner in the Bahrain Jewellery Centre in Bahrain,' he said.

'They know their business and we are thinking of launching more products soon.'

Edšcs said the range of Milus watches starts from BD790 and go up to BD90,000.

'Worldwide, we produce only 5,000 watches every year, of which between 15 per cent and 20 per cent are sold in the GCC and the Middle East.'-TradeArabia News Service
