GCC retail growth to come under scrutiny

Abu Dhabi, August 19, 2010

More than 200 of the Gulf’s leading executives will participate in client studies and workshops in a move to identify factors behind the continued growth of GCC’s retail sector at an upcoming summit in Abu Dhabi.

The GCC Retail Summit will take place from November 22 to 24 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.

Organised by AIM Events, the conference and events division of Abu Dhabi University (ADU), in partnership with DMSRetail, the summit will highlight current trends and issues on client care, operations, technology, HR, management, marketing and branding and logistics and supply chain.

“The GCC Retail Summit provides an excellent platform for sharing the latest and the best retail industry practices from across the region,” said James Graham, general manager of AIM Events.

“It will have participants leaving with valuable information that will surely help ramp up their current operational successes and efficiencies.”

“More importantly, the key drivers for its continued growth and success will be identified and recognised. By doing so, underlying factors behind such drivers can be discussed and cultivated, which could help maximise its full potential of providing even further business success,” Graham added. – TradeArabia News Service
