Makro, a division of the Metro Group, a which is a leading international retailing and trading company, opened its first store in Egypt.

Located in Salam City, the store is the first of Makro’s much anticipated wholesale stores, of which 12 are expected to open over the next 3 years.

The store which spans over nearly 10,000 sqm will offer exclusive access to business professionals, housing over 20,000 food and non-food products under one roof.

The store which will sell in bulk, will exclusively tailor their services to the needs of their diverse customer base covering traders, hospitality professionals and business companies.

By focusing on creating the most competitive prices for professionals’ core needs, Makro will ensure, professionals are able to offer a greater and more diverse selection of products and services at even more affordable prices.

More than just a store for professionals, Makro’s work on the development of the cold chain distribution lines under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, through their Farmers Project, will shorten the time span from farm to fork thereby delivering to professionals and customers, the highest quality products in the Egyptian market, he added.
