Samsung, i2 launch mobile upgrade scheme

Cairo, April 26, 2010

Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media technologies, and i2, a leading mobile phone distributor in the region, have launched a scheme which lets consumers upgrade a phone in working condition for a Samsung at any i2store.

“For over 40 years, Samsung have ensured that every product that bears the name Samsung is a statement of our relentless passion for new and better possibilities,” said Duke Park, Samsung Egypt general manager.

“For every Egyptian that is ready to ‘turn on tomorrow’ with Samsung, it is now possible through our collaboration with i2,” he added.

The campaign will provide each i2 customers who wishes to upgrade, with a new Samsung, within a price difference of up to EGP150 ($27). This campaign is exclusive to i2 and will run in all i2 stores.

“This is a great opportunity for all of our customers,” said Ahmed Souky, i2 General manager.

“Egyptians are eager to discover and experience new technologies and platforms. This campaign offers everyone the possibility to get a first-hand opinion,” he added.

The campaign will run until mid May, in all i2 stores in Egypt, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
