Dubai-based Canon Middle East, a subsidiary of Canon Europe, has launched two new models in its Ixus range of digital cameras.

The Ixus 130 and Ixus 105 feature a 28mm wide angle 4x zoom lens as well as Canon’s face detection technology, while the Ixus 130 also offers a feature that uses a smile or a wink of an eye to release the shutter.

The slim, smooth Ixus 130 is the thinnest Ixus to date, measuring 17.8 mm at its thickest point. Both models are available in four colours.

Smart Auto with scene detection technology automatically selects settings for 18 different shooting scenes in the Ixus 105 and 22 in the Ixus 130, providing excellent results in a wide range of possible conditions, a statement said.

They also feature an optical image stabilizer and motion detection technology which counteracts the effect of camera shake and subject movement.

Both models offer movie mode, as well as a YouTube upload function in the bundled software facilitating sharing of share videos online, while the Ixus 130 also delivers HD quality footage, the statement added. – TradeArabia News Service
