Emirates Coop Eid sales up 19pc

Emirates Cooperative Society has posted a 19 per cent increase in sales during the special promotion campaign which ran from November 25 to December 5 as part of Eid Al-Adha and National Day celebrations.
Farid Al Shamandy, general manager of Emirates Co-operative Society, said there was an increase in footfall and purchase volumes when compared to last year.
'The initiative for the promotional campaign was to offer customers with daily required quality products at very competitive prices,' he noted.
'The promotion included commodities like rice, oil, fresh vegetables and fruits, meat, frozen meat and chicken, cheese, sweets, nuts, canned foods and non-food groceries like disposable paper plates, aluminum and plastics, electronics, household articles,' he added.
Farid said the Emirates Coop will continue with different promotional campaigns as part of the new plan set by the Board of Directors to help the consumers and to serve the society by offering a highly competitive price structure.
He also pointed out that the 'Weekend Fresh Food Promotion' will continue as scheduled every Thursday, Friday and Saturday to provide varieties of fresh meat, fruits and vegetables.
'We have also made shopping easier for our customers in Al Twar 3, Al Mizhar 2, Satwa, Garhoud and Saffouh area branches by providing the option of placing their orders through the 800-327 (800ECS) toll-free call center, Farid added.-TradeArabia News Service
