BenQ launches new LED monitors, projectors
Dubai, October 12, 2009
BenQ Corporation, a leading provider of networked digital lifestyle devices, has launched its new LED monitors and educational projectors in the Middle East and Africa market.
BenQ has brought to market the new G Series 19” W G920WL (16:10) and the 18.5” W G922HDL and V series the Full HD 1080p V2400 Eco and Full HD 1080p V2200 Eco, respectively, the world’s first 21.5” and 18.5” LED widescreen monitors along with a new range in education projectors.
“Just as LCD technology revolutionized the cathode ray tube display industry, the application of LED backlighting is anticipated to set new benchmarks in IT displays,” said Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ, Middle East and Africa.
“As a leading global display provider in both CE and IT industries, with the launch today BenQ leads the charge in the mounting LED display revolution.”
He added: “Perfected for low-maintenance, long-lasting reliability, and easy, safe school use, BenQ’s education series projectors lower total cost of ownership and maximise tight school budgets.”
High performance, office friendly
By employing LED backlighting, namely LED (light emitting diode) the G Series and V series offers brilliant visuals that enhance productivity eye comfort in the workplace. Most notably, both G and V series exhibit zero light leakage, enabling an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) of 5 million:1.
Such a near-infinite DCR translates to super-intense blacks, brilliant whites, and innumerable color variations in between so that all content – from fine text, graphs, chart, and tables to fast-action games and dark video scenery – are rendered in razor-sharp definition.
Designed with Earth in mind
The V Eco monitors keep BenQ’s promise visual splendor, as well as energy conservation and environmental sustainability, while the G Series gives dual meaning to “eco-friendly” by being both an ecologically responsible and an economically practical product.
The panels are mercury-free, which is a significant ecological advantage over traditional CCFL displays, and a noteworthy consideration for corporate users seeking to proactively comply with changing environmental regulations.
LED technology also enables the G Series to use substantially less energy (approximately 60 per cent less in G920WL and 43 per cent in G922HDL) than CCFL displays of the same screen size.
Education series projectors
Smart school features include filter-free technology, zero color decay, an intelligent Lamp Care system, industry-leading low noise levels, cool-touch temperatures, shatter-safe bulbs, and eye protection.
The just introduced six education models also comprehensively cover all school scenarios: ultra short-throw for interactive whiteboards; 3D ability for enhanced instruction, Crestron RoomView LAN (local area network) support for easy multi-projector monitoring; and XGA resolution for versatility. – TradeArabia News Service
