SouqExtra! has signed up Spinneys to manage and operate supermarkets in its chain of community centre concepts in the UAE.

“Spinneys will be adding value by operating and managing a number of concept stores across the UAE,” said Saleh Lootha, managing director SouqExtra!

SouqExtra! is introducing a new community supercentre model that combines both retail operations and community services, as well as a business support programme for promising Emirati entrepreneurs.

“Our aim is to provide a unique value offering that addresses the many retail and public service needs of nationals, residents and tourists in the UAE.”

As proof of the community supercentre concept’s appeal, SouqExtra! is following through its expansion plans and has signed several agreements during the past months that involve the set up of 10 superstore outlets across the UAE, beginning with Al Ain, Ajman and Fujairah, and a planned roll out all throughout the country, as well as around the region.-TradeArabia News Service
