Dubai, May 4, 2009
Luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Patek Philippe has opened its flagship boutique at the Dubai Mall, one of the world's largest shopping malls located in Downtown Burj Dubai.
The 1101 sq ft boutique, designed with the same ethos as Patek Philippe’s exclusive stand-alone destination outlets in Geneva, Paris and London, is home to the largest collection of Patek Philippe watches in the UAE, said an official of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the exclusive agent for Patek Philippe in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Patek Philippe vice president Thierry Stern and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ vice chairman Abdul Hamied Seddiqi joined the launch celebrations.
The opening of the Patek Philippe Boutique adds to Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ portfolio of more than 50 retail outlets in the UAE, representing more than 50 prestigious brands, said Seddiqi.
Since 1960, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons have been agent to the Patek Philippe brand in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, marking nearly five decades of partnership.
“The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing regions in the world for Patek Philippe’s timepieces, and our reach in this geography has been built largely by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons,” said Stern.
History has been made today with the opening of the Patek Philippe Boutique, which will give our customers in the Middle East, as well as Dubai’s international visitors, access to our collection including our latest designs,” he added.
“For almost 50 years, we have enabled the UAE national community as well as regional collectors and visitors to appreciate the beauty and intricacy of Patek Philippe timepieces, and the trust and loyalty that we have built with our client base as well as with Patek Philippe have resulted in the opening of this stand-alone Boutique,” Seddiqi added.-TradeArabia News Service
