Leading global brands will this week showcase loose coloured gemstones, pearls and finished jewellery pieces at the ICA International Gem Show Dubai 2008.
The exhibition and trade show, aimed at Dubai's fashion-conscious consumers will be held at the Al Bustan Hotel from October 13 to 15.
From Brazilian Emeralds to new hot Pink Coral will be on display at the luxurious trade fair, the first to be held in Dubai and under the patronage of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
A consumer day has been arranged on October 15, 2008 where the general public will be able to make purchases of exquisite jewellery pieces at attractive prices from leading global brands such as K Brunini Jewels, JOEB Enterprises, Canelhas, Pink Stone and Tavares Gems.
Andrew Cody, president of the ICA, said: 'We are now entering a new era for coloured gemstones and the next decade should see them move to the centre stage. Jewellery has become a major part of the fashion industry. Over the last decade we have seen many major fashion brands either move into jewellery or strengthen this segment of their business.'
