Fornasarig launches new furniture line
Dubai, June 30, 2008
Fornasarig Sedie Friuli has launched its Wagner Blades chair and the Loop chair in the UAE.
The products, made of beech wood, incorporate the advanced technology of the Leap chair to support the body in a reclined position.
Fornasarig is the only Italian company that manufactures chairs and accessories exclusively for the contract field. Chairs, sofas and tables for hotels, restaurants, theatres, schools, libraries, conference rooms and ships.
With the Design Seating for Design Eating project, the company begins a new phase, adopting Design as a methodological choice for its future, which does not exclude the possibility of a commercial extension to the domestic market.
"Each type of wood has its own unique colour and grain that are suitable for making different objects. Beech, compared with other types of wood, even those that are more valuable, is a strong and "elastic" wood, which can absorb shocks and resist bending, physical characteristics that make it ideal for contract products." said Amazing Stone general manager Roger Borro.
Amazing Stone is the sole regional dealer and distributor for Fornasarig.
Fornasarig conducts yearly research by physical therapists, biomechanical engineers and ergonomic experts. It found that providing independent controls for the upper and lower back, which move in different directions when a user changes positions, throughout the day enables individuals to move naturally while sitting, providing appropriate support to the upper and lower back at all times.
"Every designer longs to produce a chair that is eco- and consumer-friendly, but to do so they would face a gruelling battle against the laws of physics. And they would probably lose, because the odds of striking a balance between strength and stability, with lightness and stack ability, would be weighted so heavily against them" Borro said.
Fornasarig products feature a conscious use of raw materials, using beech wood from selected tree farms that ensure reforesting cycles.-TradeArabia News Service
