Piquadro opens first ME outlet in Abu Dhabi

Piquadro, the leading Italian designer leather goods company, has opened its first boutique in the Middle East at Khalidiya Mall in Abu Dhabi.
A premier Italian leather goods brand, Piquadro unveiled plans to expand regionally in the coming months.
The 53 sq m store, located on the ground floor of the mall was officially opened by Pierpaolo Palmieri, sales manager Worldwide of Piquadro and brother of the founder, Marco Palmieri, in the presence of Italian Ambassador to the UAE, Paolo Dionisi.
Senior officials from the government and private institutions, Piquadro executives and the media were present at the opening.
Addressing the media at the store opening, Palmieri said, “This is indeed a momentous occasion for us and we are delighted to introduce the Piquadro brand to the residents of Abu Dhabi."
"The UAE capital is an extremely attractive market for exclusive and high quality brands such as Piquadro and we would be focussing very strongly on the larger Middle East region in the coming months.” he added.
Palmieri said the Abu Dhabi branch marks Piquadro’s entry in the Arabian Gulf market and plans are already underway to expand further into the region."
Elaborating on their expansion plans, Palmieri said: "Our investment in the emirate reflects our commitment to boosting our business in the region.
"We look forward to establishing our presence in the UAE with our second store in Dubai due to open during the summer. We will also expand further with other stores in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
