Motorola launches 3.5G mobile phone

Dubai, June 10, 2008

Motorola has launched the RAZR V9, a 3.5G phone which provides faster wireless access to the Internet.

As the most advanced form of mobile communication currently available, 3.5G allows users to stream video, receive TV signals, send large files and make voice calls.

The 3.5G enabled phones can receive data up to 10 times faster than smart phones, which mean today’s mobile devices can now compete with an average computer's broadband access.

3.5G networks promise a data download speed of up to 14Mbps (megabits per second) and an upload speed of up to 1.8Mbps, which simply means you can now download a 1 MB MP3 file in about 4.1 seconds as compared with 3G networks which take about 22.4 seconds for the same transfer.

The new technology essentially improves your experience and enjoyment of mobile voice telephony, video telephony, mobile TV, mobile broadband to laptop activity, and fixed-broadband services.

3.5G-enabled phones work together with the support of the telecom providers in every country. After purchasing a 3.5G enabled handset, the user must activate the service to fully enjoy its full features.

The ideal showcase for these exciting 3.5G capabilities is the new Motorola RAZR V9. With a host of features and enhancements, it provides increased value for customers in several areas, including video sharing and music downloads.

The handset is designed not just to be a phone but also a lifestyle device with mobile broadband connectivity and high speed downloads for a rich multimedia experience.

The revolutionary “See What I See” allows the instantaneous sharing of video so that users can stream live video footage to another wireless customer while a call is actually in progress. Users can then enjoy the video on a large internal screen with twice the resolution of the original RAZR. - TradeArabia News Service
