Sony has unveiled a range of new hotel television models at the Hotel Show, which opened in Dubai today.

The new BRAVIA S400 and BRAVIA V400, come in varying screen sizes and offer enhanced features, coupled with state-of-the-art technology, for quality viewing experience. They also offers additional features specially designed for the hotel business, such as compatibility with Locatel and Koolconnect interactive systems.

Sony also launched the ‘Sountina’ speaker system which combines sound, space and material to provide a unique listening experience. The system comprises a transparent organic glass tube which vibrates and expands sound to a 360 degree circle, radiating high quality sound in all directions to all listeners, regardless of location.

Sountina covers a wide range of listening positions, without placing a limit on speaker installation height, listening distance, or position. It comes with an option of changing the colour of the glass tube to suit one’s mood.

“For the first time so many system integrators with varied solutions are being showcased under one roof and we are working very closely with them to bring a wide array of services which will be valued by hoteliers. The new Sony BRAVIA Hotel TV range will be compatible with 90 per cent of all the interactive systems,” said Sony Gulf IT & B2B general manager Dharmendra Lalai.

“We are pleased that a leading consumer electronics brand like Sony has developed BRAVIA range that are compatible with Locatel-2M platform,” said Locatel MEA managing director Prem Kumar. “Now our hotel customers have more options for HD panels that can utilise the full entertainment, information and connectivity of our interactive solution.”

In addition to the BRAVIA series and Sountina, Sony also offers a one-stop shop for a range of guest entertainment platforms like Playstation 3, compact home theatre systems, and VAIO laptop PCs, thus eliminating the need for multiple vendors.
