Home-audio market to hit $28.77bn

High-tech innovations in the home-audio equipment sector is set to boost global market to Dh105.7 billion ($28.77bn) this year, according to a research.
The study was conducted by Gfk Group and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
This phenomenal growth has ensured that audio companies from around the world are headed for Dubai to display the latest emerging technologies and audio products at the forthcoming International CES/hometech show in Dubai May 25 – 27, 2008, the organisers said in a statement.
“Technology and innovations within the audio industry have evolved providing multiple options, enhanced sound quality and clarity, totally redefining the audio experience,” said Eckhard Pruy, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “International CES/hometech will provide international trade visitors with the ability to fine tune their audio experience and get the most out of today’s technologies under one roof.”
The event will attract suppliers of audio networking solutions, stereo and multi-room audio equipment and source controllers, amplifiers and in-ceiling, in-wall, surround and outdoor speakers, audio hardware and software, digital terrestrial and satellite radio tuners, MP3/WMA/AAC players, docks and D/A converters, multi-channel and home theater audio systems among others.
“There is a frequent entry of technologically enhanced products into the market, as audio manufacturers attempt to differentiate from the competition and this has spawned growth in the home-audio segment,” said Mehtap Kenar, Senior Show Manager, International CES/hometech.
