Big response to 'Collectors' expo

The Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) Office has received overwhelming response from the public for its In-Mall event, 'The Collectors' this year.
The exhibition, to be held from July 6 to 14 at the Mall of the Emirates, is a unique opportunity for collectors to display rare and valuable collectibles, said a DSS official .
'A lot of applications are pouring in from collectors across the country for the exclusive In-Mall event. The last date for registeration is June 28,' he said.
Registration forms are available on the DSS website, www.mydss.ae, or at the DSS Office, located in the building of the Dubai Department of Economic Development, in Deira.
Sawsan Al Rahma, one among the participants of 'The Collectors' exhibition is all prepared to display her huge collection of stamps and coins. Working for Abu Dhabi TV, Sawsan began collecting from a very young age to become a full fledged philatelist.
'I had wanted to display my collection of stamps and coins for a very long time and I'm glad I got the opportunity now. By participating in 'The Collectors', I not only want to display my stamps and coins but also convey the message that collecting various collectibles is an exciting and creative hobby.'
The Collectors' is an ideal forum that aims to bring together collectors of various objects under one roof.
The exhibition is bound to appeal to all memorabilia lovers 'and even shoppers who would like to have a glimpse of rare collections of coins, photographs, sports and classic cars, ancient Islamic manuscripts, watches, medals, cameras, paintings, stamps and many other collectibles,' said the DSS official.
Participation is open to professionals, amateurs and children. Those wishing to participate have to apply in person at the DSS Office, submit the application and bring some samples of their works attached with a brief resume of the participant. TradeArabia News Service
