Kanoo Shipping, a business division of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, said it has achieved a major milestone with all branches across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia upgraded to the new ISO 9001–2015 Standard certification.

Bahrain-based YBA Kanoo is one of the largest, independent family-owned multinational businesses in the Middle East.

The new standard requirements help to improve overall performance and provides a sound basis of sustainable development initiatives, which fits into the group’s Vision 2020 transformation programme, said a statement from the company.

Certification is required for doing business with all major clients. It is part of making sure that clients are working with a world class service provider that is able to maintain the highest standards, it said.

Branches of Kanoo Shipping which received the ISO 9001 – 2015 upgrade are in Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Rabigh, Jubail, Khafji, Ras Tanura, all in Saudi Arabia as well as in Bahrain, it added.

The audits in Saudi Arabia were held by ABS Quality Evaluations while Bureau Veritas conducted the ones in Bahrain, said a statement.
