AIS Training, Restrata partner to deliver specialised courses

DUBAI, March 12, 2018

AIS Training, an industrial training specialist, and Restrata, a safety and security giant, are joining forces to develop and deliver world-class incident management training for the energy sector.

The new partnership will see a number of specialised training courses developed and delivered for the oil and gas, wind and nuclear industries, to boost safety and improve the overall response to and management of emergency situations, said a statement.

As part of the agreement, AIS Training will be able to tap into Restrata’s extensive hands-on expertise in security and safety to train its global client-base in managing emergency situations and incidents, it said.

For Restrata, the partnership allows it to add AIS Training’s unique capabilities to expand its own customer-offer to include virtual reality training and more than 400 industry-approved competency and skills courses for the oil and gas, renewables and construction sectors.

As well as sharing expertise, both companies have their sights set on new markets where they plan to develop unique courses together to manage risk and improve safety standards.

The link up was a natural step for AIS Training and Restrata as both boast a strong global pedigree in developing innovative training services for the oil and gas industry and share the same ethos for exceptional customer service.

Gavin Taylor, commercial director at AIS Training, said: “When an emergency strikes it is imperative that people are trained to the very highest standards in order to minimise damage.”

“This is particularly important in high-risk industries like oil and gas or wind and we were finding an increasing number of our clients demanding training to improve their management of emergency situations,” he said.

“It is a highly specialised area and that’s why we’re delighted to be joining forces with Restrata – the world leader in incident management training. With Restrata’s expertise we will now be able to develop and deliver world-class incident management training to our clients,” he added.

“We are also planning to develop new courses with Restrata to raise safety and security standards across the entire energy sector,” Taylor concluded.

Will Follett, vice president at Restrata, said: “This partnership will see us combining forces to deliver better solutions for our clients worldwide.”

“Along with the recent investment in our new state-of-the-art 24/7/365 global command centre in Aberdeen, it underlines our continued commitment to the energy sector, and building greater resilience for our clients,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
