GPIC completes external audit of management system

Bahrain-based Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) has reported that Global Auditing Company (DNV) has carried out a successful external audit of its Integrated Management Systems (PAS 99).
The auditors verified the integrity of all the company's operations, its various activities, working documents and procedures, and the employees' understanding and application over a one-week period, said a statement from GPIC.
The audit certifies that the company complies with the requirements of the PAS 99 systems, the Business Continuity Management System (ISO 22301 and ISO 27001) and the Responsible Care Management System (RC 14001), it said.
GPIC continually conducts the audit the audits because of its desire to ensure the safety of procedures in place, in addition to contributing to its further improvement and continuous development, increasing efficiency and sustainable quality of work, it added.
The company recently trained a group of its employees and qualified them to carry out internal audits throughout the year, according to a detailed schedule of more than 70 internal audits to ensure its operations and procedures are in line with requirements and regulations.
The company is one of the first in the region to introduce administrative systems and is one of the most applicable management systems in the world. GPIC has a total of 14 administrative systems, which enable the company to undergo various independent external audits continuously and throughout the year.
Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery, president, GPIC, praised its commitment to the implementation of various global management systems, now one of the most important elements on which the Company's success depends.
He said that the executive management and the employees believe in the importance of these audits and their reflection on all actions the company takes to ensure safety of procedures and their efficiency, while continuously improving them. – TradeArabia News Service
