Hertel wins key Pearl GT contract

Hertel,  a leading international industrial services company, has won a scaffolding, insulation, painting and refractory (SIPR) services contract at the Pearl Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) plant, a report said.

The five-year contract was awarded by Qatar Shell and an official contract signing ceremony was held at Qatar Shell’s offices in Doha, said the Gulf Times report.

The event was attended by Mark Pattenden, vice president, Pearl GTL; and Nick Morgan, regional managing director, Hertel.

Pearl GTL, a  partnership between Qatar Petroleum and Shell, converts natural gas into a range of high-performing GTL products.

Pattenden said the company looked forward to the services provided by Hertel and is confident in their ability to deliver the contract safely and successfully.  

Morgan said the contract was as a major opportunity to strengthen the company's position in Qatar and to develop its  relationship with Shell and Qatar Petroleum on a global level.
