Pertamina studies two Iranian oilfields

TEHRAN, October 4, 2016

Pertamina, Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company, is conducting a feasibility study on two Iranian oilfields in a bid to step up output, a report said.

"We now have a data room with them for evaluation [purposes], so we can assess the value and other things," Pertamina managing director Dwi Soetjipto was quoted as saying in the Iran Daily report, which cited jakartapost.com.

Pertamina recently signed an agreement with National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), marking the beginning of the six-month study on the two oilfields, Ab-Teymour and Mansouri, the report said.

The two onshore fields have a combined production rate of 74,500 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and reserves of more than five million barrels, according to the report.
