Iran petchem firm to boost EU, S America exports
TEHRAN, July 17, 2016
Iran-based Shiraz Petrochemical Company aims to export petrochemical products to the major markets of Europe, South America and South Africa from its newly-started units, said a report.
The ammonia and urea units of Marvdasht Martyrs Facility will become operational soon, reported the Iran Daily citing Abdolreza Zare director of commercial affairs department at Shiraz Petrochemical Company.
"Since the product of the facility is granule and its graded type is different, it will be of use in areas with high humidity rate, hence the export to the various destinations," noted Zare.
Before the urea and ammonia lines went on stream, the facility used to export about 400,000 tonnes of its products to India and certain European countries, he stated.
Additionally, the facility is to export about one million tonnes of its products annually once the urea and ammonia lines become operational, he added.
