Enoc installs EV chargers at Dubai stations

DUBAI, April 17, 2016

Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), a wholly-owned entity of the Government of Dubai, UAE has announced the installation of nine electrical vehicle charging stations at Enoc/EPPCO service stations across the emirate.

Established in partnership with the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (Dewa), the first seven charging stations were completed and commissioned in Enoc/EPPCO petrol stations in February 2016, while two additional units are planned to be installed in upcoming sites currently under construction in Dubai.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice chairman of Enoc Group and managing director and chief executive officer of DEWA, said: “This project highlights our commitment to sustainability and our strategy to promote the use of electric cars, in line with the Dubai Government’s Smart City initiative. We are thankful to Enoc for its support in providing their facilities to establish the infrastructure needed to facilitate the implementation.”
