LR Senergy unveils new geological software solution
CALIFORNIA, July 20, 2015
Global energy services company LR Senergy has unveiled its next evolution in geological software solutions.
The IC product was exhibited at the ongoing Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) Annual Symposium in California.
IC, which has evolved from LR Senergy’s market-leading ODM software, will revolutionise the way multi-disciplined teams review and analyse data, said a statement.
It is a fully modularised package which is tightly integrated with LR Senergy’s powerful formation evaluation product IP, providing geoscientists and engineers with an integrated and comprehensive geological interpretation solution, it said.
Terry Carr, global head of Software Operations, said: “The release of IC is the result of years of research and development. Our teams have been working closely with our customers and partners to develop a powerful geological interpretation, mapping and presentation tool that meets the exacting standards of today’s industry experts.
“In addition to offering a complete package to new clients, the appeal for many of our existing users will be the step forward in integration between IC and IP, which in terms of efficiency savings will be extremely valuable.”
“The beauty of the name IC is that it can represent many elements of the enhanced features it offers. For example, it could stand for Interoperable Connectivity – seamless data interoperability that connects formation, using IP, with geology, using IC, to mitigate prospect uncertainty. Or Interactive Correlations – smart, powerful and dynamic multi-well displays that provide teams the opportunity to collaborate and improve decision-making efficiency,” Carr added.
IC will provide integration not just between IP, but with other industry-standard packages, to ensure a single source of up-to-date data, said the statement.
This complete integration allows for confident interpretation of all geological and petrophysical field data for any integrated team environment while producing flexible presentation quality visualisation of this data, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
