Lux Assure, a leader in innovative oil and gas corrosion and flow assurance technologies, has appointed Duncan Baillie as business development manager for its Ommica product line.

Baillie joins Lux Assure from Roemex, where he held the position of international sales manager for four years, said a statement.

In his new role, which will be based at Lux Assure’s head office in Edinburgh, Baillie will be responsible for global business development and sales of the company’s Ommica’s  product.

This newly created position will include developing a detailed business plan and marketing strategy for the technology, and building relationships with key agents and distributors to develop new business opportunities globally, it said.

Ommica are detection methods developed to monitor methanol and monoethylene glycol (MEG) concentrations in produced fluids, such as water, crude oil and condensate.

Recognising that operators ideally need be able to analyse hydrate inhibitors on-site, Ommica was launched in 2012 following a number of successful field trials with North Sea oil majors. The product has had a successful global uptake with an increasing number of repeat orders.

Lux Assure currently delivers two key technologies, CoMic and Ommica, which together represent a revolution in monitoring and managing difficult-to-detect chemicals in hydrocarbons, condensates and water, specifically the thermodynamic hydrate inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors used to protect oilfield assets, on and offshore. - TradeArabia News Service
