Kerui, an integrated international drilling engineering services, has delivered its latest third-generation fast-moving drilling rig to the leading drilling contractor Dalma.

The rig was shipped to the Middle East, based on the strategic co-operation relationship established between Kerui and Dalma, said a statement.

With the technology accumulating and market success of the first and second generation fast moving drilling rig, Kerui pays more attention to technical innovation and increasing operation efficiency of drilling rigs.

The structure of the third-generation fast moving drilling rig is with a higher level of integration: the mast, substructure, drawworks, BOP remote control room, integration hydraulic station and electrical guideline machine are installed in one trailer, the installation is needed only for the first drilling operation.

The generation sets, VFD electrical control room, top drive electrical control room and mud pump units can moved quickly by trailers, the operation of installation and transportation can be reduced greatly. The breakthrough of modularisation, mobility and reliability of drilling rig are realised.

Xu Yimin, chief designer of this drilling rig, said: “The third-generation fast moving drilling rig integrates mechanical-electronic-hydraulic control, with high integration level, high reliability and strong mobility.

“It is the new generation of drilling rig with fewest moving modules, the highest integration level and the shortest mobilisation time. It could be regarded as the benchmark in fast-moving drilling rigs.”

The third-generation fast-moving drilling rig not only improved the mobility and integration, but also applied advanced technologies such as a two-section telescopic derrick which is controlled by hydraulic cylinders. Lifting efficiency will be improved significantly.
