Gulf Dredging to work on Kuwait’s clean fuels project

KUWAIT, February 11, 2015

Gulf Dredging and General Contracting, an affiliate of Kuwait-based Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company (Heisco), has received a letter of intent for civil works on Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation’s (KNPC) clean fuels project (CFP).

The subcontract, which is yet to be signed, has been issued by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) which forms part of a consortium responsible for Package Two at the Mina Abdullah refinery in southern Kuwait, according to a source at Gulf Dredging.

In April 2014, KNPC finalised a $3.4-billion contract with a consortium of Fluor, Daewoo Engineering & Construction Company, and HHI to design, construct, and commission the Mina Abdullah Package 2 CFP. - TradeArabia News Service
