Innovations key focus at Geoscience expo

The 11th Middle East Geosciences Conference and Exhibition 2014 was a major platform for showcasing oil and gas exploration technology, innovations and services in the region, said Bapco.
The company was a major participant and supporter of the conference and exhibition that concluded yesterday at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Held under the theme 'Taking Geoscience Beyond the Conventional', it featured more than 100 exhibitors displaying the latest technological advancements in the industry.
The four-day event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
It was opened on Sunday by Finance Minister and Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
A Bapco statement said the forum placed focus on developments and methods that geoscientists will need to embrace to meet future energy supply challenges in the industry.
In addition to the technical programme, the conference consisted of senior-level panel discussions, extensive poster presentations, workshops and field trips designed to offer participants better learning opportunities - all in which a number of Bapco professionals actively participated.-TradeArabia News Service
