QP may raise gas feedstock prices

Dubai, February 27, 2012

Qatar Petroleum is looking at raising domestic gas prices for feedstock gas, a company official said on Monday.

"I think prices for feedstock have been way below prices on the international market. We are considering raising the cost of the feedstock," Abdulrahman Al-Shaibi, director of finance at Qatar Petroleum, told a conference in Dubai

However, he said it would still "remain within a range which could be seen as a subsidy." - Reuters
