Nissan Micra, LEAF top in customer satisfaction study
DUBAI, April 25, 2018
The Nissan LEAF and Micra have come top of their respective categories in the latest Driver Power, one of the UK’s most respected customer satisfaction studies.
The Nissan LEAF won the 2018 Gold Electric Car Award. It was the best-performing vehicle overall in the Engine & Gearbox category and placed 3rd in the MPG & Running Costs category. However, it was not the all-new LEAF which took the title, rather than original first-generation model.
The Nissan Micra won the 2018 Gold Supermini Award, and was the best-performing supermini in five of the nine Driver Power judging categories: Engine & Gearbox; Interior & Comfort; Ride & Handling; Infotainment, Connectivity & Electrics; and Safety Features.
Driver Power is organised every year by Dennis Publishing, the company behind Auto Express and Carbuyer automotive media brands.
Kalyana Sivagnanam, president of Nissan Middle East and regional vice president Marketing and Sales for Africa, the Middle East and India, said: “We are proud the LEAF has been honoured with the Gold Electric Car Award by Drive Power. It is exciting to see that the Nissan LEAF is globally recognized as the leading electric car on the market. Nissan’s commitment and preparedness towards electrification is due to the future of mobility, and having introduced the first mass-market electric vehicle in 2010, we are thrilled to be part of the mobility advancement in the Middle East through the all-electric Nissan LEAF.”
The Gold Electric Car Award for the LEAF is the latest of a long list of accolades awarded to the world’s best-selling zero-emissions electric vehicle. Most recently, the new-generation Nissan LEAF has been honoured as the prestigious World Green Car of the Year 2018. – TradeArabia News Service
