Daimler Commercial Vehicles (DCV) Mena FZE has honoured 11 winners of its 'Actros Mileage Millionaire' campaign with the highest mileage of Actros Trucks in UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia with a combined 16 million km travelled.

The campaign was launched last November to mark the occasion of ‘20 years of Actros’ in the Mena region.

While the total mileage covered was an equivalent of 389 trips around the world or 20 round trips to the moon, the highest record was 2.3 million km without an engine overhaul.

Roland Schneider, president & CEO of Daimler Commercial Vehicles (DCV) Mena commented: “After celebrating the Actros’s 20th anniversary, this is another success story for us as the campaign did not only reveal the existence of many trucks in the region that have a mileage well beyond 1 million kilometres, but the customer loyalty based on the unprecedented reliability of the Actros.

“Among the winners some are still the first generation which is running perfectly and this shows that the Actros is a real ‘Truck you can Trust’. When business is tough, it is important to be able to try on your material and Mercedes-Benz Trucks is an investment for the fleet owners.”

The Mileage Millionaire winners were invited to exclusive events hosted by the Mercedes-Benz General Distributors in the respective markets, where the owners of the vehicles were offered vehicle health checks, rejuvenation parts packages and entered into a draw to win a VIP trip to Germany.

Two lucky winners were flown in to Germany on April 24-27 and visited the birthplace of the iconic Actros flagship truck in Woerth. A diverse program of activities including an interactive driving experience in the unique off-road test area of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, a visit to the plant for Remanufactured Parts in Mannheim and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart were also highlights of the trip.

“That was really a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to see all the engineering and expertise that goes into our Actros trucks. For us, our trucks are a vital part of our business and we have relied on these vehicles day after day and have not been let down,” said one of the winners.
