Maserati focus on sedan upgrades at Paris show

PARIS, October 3, 2016

Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati’s focus for this year’s Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, is on updates for its sedan range.

The brand’s executive sedan, the Ghibli, and the flagship, the new Quattroporte, adopt additional high-tech content in the area of on-board comfort and driver assistance systems and offer an even higher degree of customisation, the company said.

Mondial de l'Automobile Paris runs from October 1 to 16.

While the Maserati flagship, the new Quattroporte, is being launched with an exterior restyling, both Model Year 2017 sedans benefit from substantial upgrades on the interior as well as new technical content. The central dashboard has been redesigned to accommodate a high resolution 8.4” screen with multi touch function.

The new infotainment system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring functions. The design also features a new rotary button which controls the main functions.

The new package of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning as well as Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist and Automated Emergency Braking. An additional Surround View Camera is available in combination with the ADAS package.

Both sedans have been upgraded also in terms of aero-acoustic comfort. Due to the adoption of new technologies, a significant improvement of noise insulation and reduced cabin noise have been achieved. To further improve occupants’ comfort, an Air Quality Sensor now comes as a standard, the company said.

With the restyling of the Quattroporte, Maserati also launches a new range strategy to offer its highly demanding clientele the additional choice of two unique trim lines that emphasise the two key pillars of the brand’s DNA: GranLusso and GranSport. For the Ghibli, the Luxury and Sport packages personalise the exterior finish and create a customised environment for the driver and passengers.
Also on display at the Maserati booth are Maserati’s SUV model, the Levante, as well as the GranTurismo and GranCabrio to complete the range.

Maserati also showcases its latest apparel and accessory collections: the Contemporary Collection, the all-new urban line of Maserati Corse, the Maserati Classics Collection and the Officine Alfieri Maserati line. - TradeArabia News Service
